Improved accounts require very few pieces of information. From a privacy point of view, here is how this information is treated:
Private
- email address – used to help you reset your password and to notify you of important events
- password – we hash (read: secure) this information in a format that prevents even us from seeing it
- your location – in order to be able to notify Improvers about new jobs we need to collect your relative location. The relative location only has suburb level accuracy so nobody can pinpoint where you are when you create an account or when you post a job
Public
- nickname – needed so that other Improved members can communicate with you
- an avatar – optional image that you can use to personalise your account and to help people recognise your jobs more easily
Improved only publishes (shares with other members) the public information.
